An incredible opportunity is coming this Saturday, November 21st, for stand out rugby players as a high performance skills camp will be held in Mobile, Al.
Paul Holmes, USA Jr. All-Americans 7’s coach, Justin Goonan, USA Jr. All American S&C coach, and Spring Hill College assistant coach, Callum Corley, will be holding the camp at Spring Hill College and have set out to add talent to the already competitive Olympic 7’s player pool.
The camp is open to any male or female high school or college athletes and although rugby experience is preferred, it is not required, as cross over athletes are encouraged to attend as well.
“The goal of the camp is to enable athletes to experience coaching of the highest quality and offer the opportunity to compete at the highest possible level and participants will gain a fresh look on individual rugby skills, learn new techniques or ideas from national level coach and, ultimately, a chance to be selected for an age-grade or high performance camp,” explained Goonan.
Participants of the camp will go through a series of assessments and ultimately be placed in a controlled scrimmage.
Registration will begin at 8:30 am and there will be a fee of $50 which includes lunch and a t-shirt. Group rates are also available.
