The University of Alabama Men’s Rugby Football Club managed to overcome all adversity during the spring collegiate 7’s season, they claimed the Southeastern Rugby Championship 7’s title, and received a bid to play in the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Sevens Championship at PPL Park in Philadelphia, PA. Alabama will start this season as the Southeastern Rugby Conference 15’s runner up’s and conference 7’s champions.
This Fall, the Crimson Tide has six conference games consisting of three home and three away games. The Crimson Tide start off their 15’s campaign with a home match against in state rival Auburn Tigers, on September 12. Next, the Tide will travel to Oxford, MS to face off against Ole Miss and then return home for a match against Florida. On October 10, the Tide will head up to Nashville, TN to face off against the Vanderbilt Commodore’s. The Tide will play their last home game against the Kentucky Wildcats. Finally the Crimson Tide will travel to Starkville, MS to face off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Halloween for the last game of the season.
