As we get closer to the August 17th Rugby World Cup qualifier against Canada in Charleston, SC, we have to step back and look at what the USA Eagles have done to this point. After ending a disappointing outing in the Pacific Nations cup where they garnered a last place finish with no wins, the USA Eagles have to look internally to see if they can create the will to finish. The Pacific Nations Cup wasn’t all devastating. The Eagles showed that they could stay competitive with the teams they faced, but the problem was that they only stayed competitive for one half of the game. The second half would become a devastating cycle of ineptitude and fitness failures that would cause the Eagles to lose when it mattered most. As we get closer to the time, we will see what the USA Eagles are planning to do to set up their lineup in a means that prevents these second half failures.
