The Capetown 7s was a great tournament for the USA Rugby Eagles 7s squad. The team finished second overall in the tournament, dropping the championship game against Fiji, 29-15. But in that process, the team put on a sevens clinic, as they blew through the competition during the pool rounds, quarterfinals, and semifinals rounds.
This was one of the best matches the USA played, as they took down New Zealand in the semifinals, 31-12. In that match, Danny Barrett definitely put the team on his back. And he showed what he shows constantly, that he is one of the most physically dominate players in Rugby Sevens.
