Big things are starting to shape up as conference play gets underway. Teams have yet to hit their strides, but are starting to work out small kinks to develop their game. Here are two games to be on look out for this weekend.
Ole Miss vs University of Alabama
September 18th, 2015 7 p.m. @ Tuscaloosa, AL
Coming off a huge spring season, Bama’ looks to keep the momentum going into their fall competitive season. After coming up short last season, the team is starving to make their mark and take home the championship. Ole Miss is coming off a rough year but their new coach is looking to make Rebel rugby a force. The squad is coming off a big 43-21 victory over Vanderbilt. It will be interesting to see if the team can upkeep numbers.
University of Tennessee vs Auburn University
September 19th 2015, 11 a.m. @ Knoxville, TN
Tennessee has traditionally been a powerful team in the SEC. With nine returning starters, they will continue to bring a tough team to compete with this season. They are often caught in a power struggle with South Carolina and its going to be great to witness which team will out due the other one. Auburn, on the other hand, will have to step up their game if they want to hang with Tennessee. The War Eagles boast a large and strong team but their inexperience is crippling them on the pitch. Hopefully the extra week of practice helped them tidy their game up.
