LSU Rugby Program Suspended for Fall Season

LSU officials confirmed Tuesday that LSU Rugby had been officially suspended for breaking rules of the University Recreation program. LSU will be suspended for the remainder of the Fall season, and will be restricted from practicing for a one month.

The cause of the suspension, sources claim, was regarding to a receipt turned in for reimbursement. What was supposed to be gas and travel receipts turned in for reimbursement, ended up being a receipt with a charge for alcohol purchase, that violates LSU UREC rules.

This unfortunately ends the LSU’s run as consecutive SEC western division champions. Come the spring, they will expectedly gather themselves and start all over with a new year.
