(Source) The Indianapolis Colts have signed 23 year old, Daniel Adongo. Adongo is a Kenyan, Super 15’s Rugby player, who was signed after the Colts released tight end, Weslyen Saunders.
We have seen rugby players transition in the NFL. Players like Nate Ebner for the Patriots or Hayden Smith with the New York Jets. What we might be witnessing is the growing trend of rugby players being recruited to the NFL, especially due to the trending changes in the tackling rules.
What is in store for rugby with this possible transition of rugby players into the NFL. Only time will tell.
