The 2016-17 season is well on its way and this year has already presented some exciting match ups!
On the Men’s Champions Cup front two teams have already advanced toward the Region 3 Championship. NSCRO newcomer, Xavier University, is representing the Great Lakes CRC will be heading to Fishers, IN for the Region 3 Championship on 12-13 November. Defending Region 3 Champion, the University of Southern Indiana will be representing the Indiana RFU. In the Mid-Atlantic South Region, Elon University will represent the Southern RC and host the winner of the Cardinals CRC NSCRO league on 12 November.
Another NSCRO newcomer, Iowa Central Community College, will be facing either John Brown University or Wayne State College for the Mid-America RFU final on 13 November for a spot in the Challenge Cup Region 3 playoffs next Spring. Trinity College is the first of four teams to book a spot in the Region 1 Championship on 19-20 November in Emmitsburg, MD while Case Western Reserve University (Great Lakes CRC) and Bethel College (Indiana RFU) are heading to Fishers, IN for the Region 2 Championship.
The Women’s National Championship is also taking shape. Keene State College has taken the first of four slots for the Region 1 Championship. Mount St. Mary’s University, NSCRO newcomer York College and Lee University will be heading to the Region 2 Championship. This weekend will determine the three other teams who will be joining Neumann University at Denison University for the Region 3 Championship. Two other NSCRO newscomers, Western State College and Colorado College, will be joining veterans Wayne State College and 2015 NSCRO Champion Minnesota State University Moorhead for the Region 4 Championship.
