While the rugby matrix season is starting to kick off for the 2015-2016 season, there are still tournaments available for teams to compete in. We will keep you up to date with a list of the Fall tournaments that your rugby team can add to its non-matrix schedule.

October 2-3, 2015 – Heart of Dixie Tournament (Rugby XVs)

Heart of Dixie is a rugby 15’s tournament hosted by Huntsville Rugby Club. It was established in 1995, and started out as a get together for local clubs to play some rugby during the same weekend as the Big Spring Music Festival in Huntsville, AL. Then people started having so much fun they didn’t even go to the festival and just camped out and stayed on Rick Cooper Memorial Park’s private fields.

Today Heart of Dixie is a social rugby tournament that takes place over two days. Live music, social atmosphere, camping and rugby are all pieces of this tournament. The tournament will host 8 women’s teams and 8 men’s teams.

October 17, 2015 – Battle of Stone River 7’s Tournament

Battle of Stone River 7’s is a high school and middle school rugby tournament that is hosted by Middle Tennessee State University Rugby club. The tournament will host 12 boys high school teams, 8 girls high school teams and 4 middle school teams.

November 7-8, 2015 – Battleship Invitational Rugby Tournament (Rugby XV)

The 37th Annual Battleship Invitational Rugby Tournament is an annual tournament that is hosted by Battleship Rugby Club in Mobile, AL. The tournament is made up for 40 total teams, including men and women’s club teams, men and women’s college teams and boy’s and girl’s U19 teams.
