Shreveport @ West Jefferson
Shreveport will travel down to south Louisiana to take on West Jefferson high school. Shreveport is sitting at 1-1 in the standings with a win over the NOLA Barbarians, 31-24 and a loss against the Bayou Hurricanes, 31-10. West Jefferson is 2-3 on the season, coming off big wins over Mississippi Royals 52-38, and Niceville, 17-15 and placing them tied for 4th place in the standings. Both these teams have been picking up experience in their inaugural year of play and have seen flashes of skill and talent coming together. West Jefferson is getting a huge confidence boost coming off their two road wins and will look to follow that up as they get to defend their home turf. Look for West Jefferson to take this match 21-14.

NOLA Barbarians @ Brother Martin
The NOLA Barbarians are 2-1 on the season and sitting in 3rd place in the High School standings. Brother Martin is 1-3 on the season, and is tied at 5th place with Niceville. Both these teams are coming off big wins over Shaw, with the Barbarians defeating Shaw 22-10 last week, and Brother Martin defeating Shaw, 48-5, on March 2nd. While they both have had dominate wins over similar opponents, the Barbarians have slowly been gaining ground over the course of the season. Starting the season with a tough loss to upstart Shreveport high school team on the road, the Barbarians have found their footing, outscoring their last two opponents 51-20 in their last two games. Brother Martin has struggled this season. Prior to their win over Shaw, they were facing a 3 game losing streak, only able to score 28 total points in those games. The boosted win over Shaw will help build the confidence for this Brother Martin team, but it may not be enough to take out the Barbarians this week. Look for The NOLA Barbarians to win this match close 28-17.
Shaw @ St. Paul’s
(0-2) Shaw will travel to Covington, LA to take on (3-1) St. Paul’s. This will be a tough match for Shaw as they are still trying to come together as a team. They are coming off a big 48-5 loss, on Wednesday, against Brother Martin, as well as a loss to the NOLA Barbarians, 22-10, on February 27th. St. Paul’s is looking to make up for their loss to the Bayou Hurricanes and continue to push towards returning to the Louisiana High School Rugby Championships to defend their title. Look for St. Paul’s to take this match, 30-5.
Mississippi Royal @ Niceville
The Mississippi Royal will face Niceville this weekend. The Royal are (0-2) on the season, while Niceville is (1-2) on the season and are tied for 5th place in the Louisiana High School League. The Royal and Niceville are both coming off losses to West Jefferson. The Royal have dealt with tough competition, and have yet to catch a major break. Niceville has been has always been a scrappy team. Other than being overmatched by top ranked Bayou Hurricanes, they have found themselves keeping matches close. They have had a difficult getting over the hump, but look for Niceville has a chance to rise back in the rankings. Niceville takes this 19-5.
