Games To Watch This Weekend: Oklahoma City vs. Tulsa

Oklahoma City (3-2) will take on Tulsa (4-1) in an instate rivalry match. This will be a rematch game for both these teams. Though Tulsa is second in the Red River D2 North, they lost to Oklahoma City on January 30th, 29-28. Tulsa will have the home field advantage this time and will hope to get their win. Since Oklahoma City defeated Tulsa, they’ve gone 1-2 in the division, losing to Dallas Athletic, 21-19; Losing to Little Rock, 39-20; and defeating Fort Worth, 41-12. Tulsa has been the exact opposite. They have won 3 straight since their loss to Tulsa. They defeated Shreveport, 56-0; Dallas Athletic, 31-24; and Little Rock, 41-27. In the North division out of 6 teams, Oklahoma City is 4th in offensive scoring, and 3rd in total points allowed. Tulsa on the other hand is 2nd in total offensive scoring, and 2nd in total points allowed.

Players to watch for Oklahoma City are center Skyler Godwin and prop Brian Hale. Skyler Godwin is the team’s leading try scorer. Brian Hale has been a powerful member of the front 3 for Oklahoma City. The Players to watch for Tulsa are the center combo of Austin White and Lucas Bersin. Both players have scored 5 tries a piece this season. Lucas Bersin has a bunch of experience playing with Oklahoma and Lindenwood last year. Austin White is an extremely athletic and powerful player, who has trained at the Atavius training camps.

Look for Tulsa to take this one at home. Tulsa wins 42-30.
