The NACRA Men’s U19 Championships is the primer U19 Men’s Championships for the North American Caribbean Rugby Association. The members of NACRA U19 are  USA Rugby South, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and Turks and Caicos Islands. We will profile each team leading up to the 2015 NACRA Men’s U19 Rugby Championships being held in Orlando, FL from July 11-18, 2015.

Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) Flamingos are the NACRA U19 side for the Turks and Caicos Rugby Union. They are coached and managed by Keith Burant, a long time Rugby player and coach. Turks and Caicos were 2-1 in the championship in 2014, and are the 7th ranked team in the 2015 championship.

Turks and Caicos Islands will be returning 12 of their players from last years team. The returning players include:

Scotty Glinton – Hooker
Kaylum Pratt – Prop
Aaron Robinson – Prop
Andy Forbes – Second Row
Kadis Simmons – Second Row

This year the team is looking for another chance to prove who they are. The team philosophy this year is that hard work yields rewards. When asked about what this championship means for the country of Turks and Caicos and for the young men that are preparing to play this, Burnett was quoted saying

“The TCI is a small country and the U19 rugby team punches well above its weight in these competitions.  The young men work hard at training and they are proud to represent their country in International competition.

The Turks and Caicos will be playing their first match against Barbados on July 11, 2015 at 10:00 am. You can subscribe to and watch the match on Gift-Time Rugby Network TV.
