Rugby Playoff Bracket Challenge

This last weekend was the beginning of the Gift-Time Rugby Network Playoff Bracket Challenge. So far resulting, it’s myself and Gift-Time Rugby Network writer, Ryan Flynn. Here are the result to date vs. how we each did.

How the challenge works:

1. Set up your picks for playoffs
2. The points for each correct answer:

  • 1 points for each correct Elite 8 pick
2 points for each correct Final Four pick
3 points for each correct championship pick
5 points for the tournament winner pick

Looks like Ryan took a bit of a hit this weekend. His west coast Final Four finalist and championship finalist are already out. He perfected the South Regional section though. Taking the points into consideration for the division 1:

8/24 points

Ryan had a little more trouble in division II. Ryan complete lost the west side of the bracket and championship. He was able to get at least one team from the East.

Final tally: 2/27 points

I wasn’t too much better. The shock of the defending National Champions losing in the Elite 8. I definitely was not very good with predictions from the West Coast. Definitely was a bit better off with my East coast predictions.

Final Tally: 8/24 points

I had a better luck with division II. Definitely made out better on the west coast than I did in division I. I’m glad my championship round is still in tact.

Final Tally: 9/15
