As the semester comes a close, season folds, and summer beckons, rugby refuses to settle down. That being said, here are the scores from across the country and divisions. In Men’s Collegiate Rugby, the NSCRO Championships were underway this past weekend. In a contested match for third, Xavier University took on LSU-Alexandria. After eighty minutes, Xavier came out on top 32-19. In the title match, Tufts University faced off against Claremont Colleges at Infinity Park. In defiance of expectations Claremont blew out Tufts 65-0, earning the 2017 Small College National Champion title. In the Challenger’s Cup, second year clubs Bethel College and Iowa Central Community College faced off. After climbing back from a half-time trail, Bethel defeated Iowa 15-13.
In D1A semis play, Life University defeated BYU 36-26 to advance to the finals next weekend. Likewise, Saint Mary’s topped Arizona 43-7 to secure a trip to the finals.
