Beyond the action at Dell Diamond resulting in a USA win over Brazil, there was plenty of rugby action across the nation.
In Senior Men’s Division play, Tampa Bay defeated Jacksonville 75 -26 in Florida. Boca Raton faced off against Naples, and came away with a victory 24-10. Meanwhile, Charlotte took on Atlanta and won with a score of 47-26. Fort Worth saw action versus Dallas Athletic Rugby Club, and lost to Dallas 38-24. Okapi played Ft. Lauderdale, and fell to Ft. Lauderdale 39-22 in regulation. Shreveport was forced to delay their match against LSUA this weekend, and is expected to release a new date shortly.
Women’s Senior Divisional play was active as well, sporting games across the Carolina’s and then some. Charlotte Women’s Rugby played University of South Carolina in a crossover match, and ultimately emerged victorious 47-17. Fort Bragg was forced to reschedule their game versus Asheville to a later date.
In Men’s Collegiate Divisional play, Lindenwood headed off the weekend with two matches against Air Force Academy and University of Colorado. Lindenwood won both matches, defeating Air Force 53-7 and defeating Colorado 84-0. Penn State defeated Naval Academy 60-36, while Emory fell to GCSU 26-10. Sacramento was defeated by San Diego state 64-12, while San Diego University clinched a neighboring win against Azusa State with 28-7. Santa Clara visited UC Santa Barbara for matrix match play, with Santa Clara winning the day 53-21. Cal defeated Arizona State 44-16, while their second match against Stanford was canceled. Utah faced off against UCLA, and defeated Los Angeles 49-8, whilst Utah State fell to USC 27-5. In a state match up, Texas A&M competed against Texas in matrix play. In the end, A&M came away with the victory 44-15. Texas Tech fell to Arkansas 41-20, as North Texas defeated SMU 62-12. Baylor hosted TCU in another conference match up, as they swept TCU 83-8. Arkansas State beat LSU 27-17, dropping Louisiana State down to #17 on the leader boards. Multiple games were either postponed or canceled this weekend, including North Florida v. Florida International.
In high school competition, Okapi defeated St. Thomas 29-7 as Wilson HS defeated San Marcos 35-15. Jesuit rugby defeated Plano 10-7, and Fort Hunt defeated Georgetown 36-6.

Collegiate Women’s play saw numerous clashes across various states. Clemson defeated North Carolina in non-conference play 36-19, whilst Stanford defeated Chico State 24-19.
