Rugby starts off 2017 with a bang, scores from across the United States.

This weekend saw multiple clashes across multiple levels in American Rugby. In Collegiate D1A play, St. Mary’s visited UC Santa Barbara. After eighty minutes of one sided play, St. Mary’s left with a 94-0 victory over their opponents. California favorites Stanford and Southern California also competed this weekend, with Cal sweeping Stanford 26-0 in regulation. Meanwhile, Santa Clara traveled to Arizona for a non-conference match up to start their new year. Arizona took the day with 43 points to Arizona’s 17.

Switching gears to Men’s Senior Divisions, D1 clubs New Orleans and Dallas faced off with Dallas taking the win 53 -10. Division 2 saw significant action as well with five games taking place this past weekend. The St. Louis Ramblers traveled to Baton Rouge this weekend, and walked away with a 12-49 loss. Katy took on the Woodland, and courtesy of an early lead won 26-19.  Houston United traveled San Antonio this weekend to play Alamo City, and secured the victory with a final score of 75-10. Little Rock secured a technical win this weekend versus Ft. Worth due to a lack of players. Last but not least, DARC scored a win against Euless in standard time with a score of 34-19.
