Life University sits atop as one of the most elite programs the U.S. has to offer. This weekend they have a big test in Lindenwood University which is sure to prove to be an exciting match. Life will look to one of their star players, Marcus Walsh, to be a game changer for the Running Eagles.
Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Walsh’s fondest memory is winning the Senior Cup with Blackrock College.
Life University has offered Walsh an incredible opportunity that he, nor his teammates, take for granted. “My experiences with Life have been great. Nobody takes it for granted when they line up to play. The most important part of it all is that everyone is playing for each other. I think the loss last year and the drive from the coaching staff has really brought us closer. Every player just looks forward to playing each week and performing,” he explained.
With that being said, first place in the Mid-South is on the line against Lindenwood along with the Glenn Markway Memorial Shield. Walsh knows Lindenwood brings tough competition but is still confident in his team to bring home the shield.
“With Lindenwood, we know the physicality of the game will be high. The advantage of the home crowd will be a big aspect of the game. Having said that, if we know are roles and stick to the game plan we will be in with a good shout come Saturday evening,” he continued.
